Salford Trust (Rep Principal, SCC, Michael Sheehan)

Principal of SCC, is a highly experienced educational leader with an exceptional record of outstanding achievement. Prior to joining Salford City College in July 2017, Michael brought about transformational change as the Principal of four Colleges – Pendleton, Runshaw, Riverside and Wigan and Leigh.

Charlotte Ramsden

Salford City Council's Strategic Director for Children's Services and Adult Social Care, Charlotte began her career as a social worker and has worked in Salford before, both as a social worker and as a child protection co-ordinator. She spent four and a half years in Trafford Council where she was Joint Director of Children and Families before re-joining Salford City Council.

Professor Richard Stephenson

Richard joined the University of Salford as its singular Deputy Vice-Chancellor in March 2016, and has responsibility for the strategic leadership of two of the four academic sub-strategies: Academic Growth & Diversification and International. Richard also has responsibility for leading the innovative new Industry Collaborations Zones which will act as focus for collaboration both within the University, and with partners in particular industry sectors. On an operational basis Richard has line management of the seven Deans of School, the UK Partnerships Office and the International Office.

Michael Sheehan (Chair of the Board SCC)

Principal of SCC, is a highly experienced educational leader with an exceptional record of outstanding achievement. Prior to joining Salford City College in July 2017, Michael brought about transformational change as the Principal of four Colleges – Pendleton, Runshaw, Riverside and Wigan and Leigh.

Kimberley Cash

SCC Head of Pendleton 6th Form – In charge of the faculty at Pendleton, raising educational standards and quality of teaching at the centre. Kim is also a member of the audit committee and challenges the financial status of the Trust.

Cathy Starbuck

LA - Assistant Director, Education Children's Services at Salford City Council. Cathy’s role includes education and helping families, school provider arm, starting life well, children centres, helping families, skills and work and as part of The SPA that undertakes a co-ordinating role for school improvement in primary schools within Salford, empowering schools to provide sustainable improvements.

Paul Ward

University of Salford, Director of Academic Business Development Office (ABDO), Employed by the University of Salford, responsibility for the Directorate of ABDO which comprises of UK Partnerships Team, International Partnerships Team, International Recruitment Team, Erasmus/Study Abroad and Student Exchanges Team and Degree Apprenticeships Team. ABDO employs 23 staff and reports to the PVCI (Pro Vice Chancellor International) at the University. Paul works closely with the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Helen Marshall to identify and develop relevant partnerships that contribute to the delivery of the University’s Academic Plan 2014 – 2018 As Head of Partnerships, Paul also supports the Vice Chancellor and Executive Team in the management of strategic institutional level partnerships.

Tracy Kitchingman

Director of Financial Operations Tracy joined the College as the Director of Financial Operations in September 2016. She began her career as a Finance Apprentice at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. She has worked within the education sector for 16 years in various senior roles including an Executive Director of Finance role at another college in the North West and a Management Accountant at two large Universities.

Ruth Osborne-Thompson

Head of HE, Access to HE, Marketing and PR. Ruth joined the College as Director of Higher Education in November 2016.  Since then this time her role has expanded and she is now part of the senior leadership team with additional responsibility for Marketing and PR.  Ruth joined the College after working in senior roles within Colleges within both FE and HE.  Ruth has worked in the education sector for 20 years.  Her previous roles include Head of Bradford Business School, Head of Faculty, Head of International and Marketing/Student Services.  Ruth began her career in educational support before going on to teach GCSE and A levels then on to lecturing within higher education settings.
